Volunteer Health Trainers
This is a years project funded through the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund to develop a group of Volunteers to work with individuals and groups to increase their awareness of health and lifestyle issues and provide them with support to change their lifestyle.
Volunteer Health Trainers receive:-
- Good quality training to develop a broad range of skills to help deliver health information in a community setting.
- Accredited training package can be completed to gain health qualifications (optional).
- The opportunity for work experience in a health environment.
- Dedicated support from the Volunteer Health Trainer Co-ordinator with any aspect of the role.
- Support to increase skills, confidence, employability and employment opportunities.
No formal qualifications are required to become a Volunteer Health Trainer, so if you are willing to dedicate some time to help people in the local community and you would like to learn new skills contact Bev Gent on 01325 329939 or email beverley@pcp.uk.net for more information.
